Britain could be a country to make us proud. But it won't happen until one of the main political parties finally stands for the millions of people like us who want a positive, welcoming future for our country.

Vince Cable has challenged the Lib Dems to become the bold, visionary movement that Britain so badly needs. Let's send the party a message that it's time to open up, and work with the millions of people like us who want to build a better future.

Stand with Britain's unrepresented millions

Dear Vince Cable,

I am one of the millions of people in the UK who want to build a country to finally make us proud again.

I want Britain to stand up for child refugees, stay in the EU and help the homeless off the streets. We need to end the gender pay gap, protect our NHS, and build the world class education system we need to stay ahead in a fast changing world.

If the Lib Dems are serious about being a mass movement that attracts people like me, they should:

1. Let people take part without becoming card carrying members
2. Give me opportunities to do something about the causes I care about
3. Give me the tools to campaign: show me how I can lobby my MP, galvanise local coalitions, and build cutting edge digital campaigns.

I want to be part of the movement to build the future: I want the Lib Dems to make it happen.
